1. I'm the sort to believe that Purgatory is real in the sense that we can still talk to our ancestors who are in their own respective Heaven-Hells. 2. I believe in the mystery of God's special election for Jacob over Esau. It could or could not be that God hated Esau before he was born according to Romans 9:10-13, but it matters that we are enjoined to meditate on the nature of God's will. Who are we, indeed, to question how God chooses, when They are the only ones who have a right to do as They please over Their own creations. If God hated Esau before he was born, the important question is, how do we know if we are Esau too? The point is that we don't, but that we trust that God's will works out for the good of everyone They have given grace too. Choose to be the person who receives God's grace, is the least you can do to start your journey towards God.
