About a few weeks without Twitter and going on a doom scroll on Facebook and I think the post above really affected me. I mean I can’t imagine what it’s like to live on 38,000 a year. On the other hand I saw a post that basically had the ostranenie effect but I don’t think my family is anywhere near like the Villars. Some people in the group who had laid their claim on our land had given false witness and told the NPA about my Angkong being an abusive landlord who made their lives hellish, and my mom told me that the NPA does go around to verify these claims and their veracity, so if somebody gave them false information then they would see to it that our family would be massacred. I don’t think it’s abnormal to feel anger at this.

An uncle in the US is a top supporter of Trump and is a Christian. I can’t bring myself to reply even though I want to change his opinion. I think it’s like when I was younger and I prayed that my sister Ally would be trapped in the cabinet forever, which violates not only physical laws but also that Jesus would never allow harmful prayers to be answered or dignified, just like how the mother of two disciples asked Jesus to have these grown men sit beside Him on his left and right. Praying for an evil person to get well if they are your enemy is noble, but praying for an evil person to get well because you support them (I do not have time to research everything that Trump has done perhaps to his followers in the name of God or good) means that you are creating an opportunity for Satan to use identity politics (seeing as people will legitimately turn rabid if you criticize their leader) to get in the way of following Jesus Himself. I think if Trump gets well it will not be because Jesus happily allowed it because He would never condone evil. It will be because like his exorbitant wealth and ascent to the presidency, evil spiritual forces that Satan, or the “prince of this world,” controls and pushes circumstances in his favor. It does not mean God is not all-powerful and He could very well stop Trump’s heart right now if He wills, but that would mean none of us on this Earth would have free will if such events were automatically granted by an ATM-like God who hears every prayer of the righteous. If somebody wishes death on their enemy I think God hears but will not answer, or if He does, then it’s probably a false positive that is designed to make you think it was justified. Bloodlust just isn’t very Christian. Meanwhile I try to reconcile this during Moses’s time when God tells them to conquer the people in Canaan.
