I get really excited when I see anything related to computer science courses, especially on the internet, but there's just one problem, with all these obligations and assignments and other subjects, I don't see myself accomplishing any of them, because my attention span's been whittled down to at least a hundredth of what it was pre-college. I can't concentrate for more than 20 minutes. There is seriously something wrong with my brain. I bet it's coffee withdrawal. This week I've been able to slash my coffee consumption to a cup a day, except for that one day where I caved and had two. It's a start, but I'm still adjusting. It's really hard not to fall asleep. --- I forgot to write about how I almost shat myself today. Well, I was able to hold it in until I got to my dorm through the TOKI jeep which took a long long time to get there. And today I caved, even though I have begun to develop what I thought was an inkling of solid habits. --- # Why do I always feel sluggish when I study? --- DEAR ABBY ON MAY 19, 2016 AND AFTER FINALS: YOU CAN PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK NOW, well, maybe just a little. BUT YOU SURVIVED! One way or another, maybe you got good grades too! Or maybe not. I hope you did your best. I just hope that you've solidified your habits into an automatic second nature. I hope you get all the things done. I hope all the things on your planner get shaded. I hope you're really happy as you board that plane to go home for two weeks after the midyear. I hope you don't get sad as much as you do. But really, I know myself, I know future you. I am writing this to you to say that it's okay to cry because you miss your family and that in the last 2 years you've spent less than 5 months at home. I hope this is all worth it for all that missed time. You can't make up for lost time. I can't make up for lost time with my family. They're growing older every single day. I just hope that they're going to be around after I graduate from whatever BS or MS or PhD I decide to embark on. I hope my wages are enough to give them the life they deserve. SIGH. I just hope, you'll learn more than you ever did in your life. You're already on the brink of finishing 2/5s of your stay here in UP, which isn't much, but still, it's UP! Someday probably on June 2019, you'll get Latin honours because you tried your best and stuck with it - your habits. I hope everything works out according to how God sees fit for my life.
