Today we had our the Freshman Welcome Assembly at the University Theater. It was from 1-5 in the afternoon and we got to see all these dance presentations from the UP Pep Squad, dancers, theatrical performances (including a very comical pinoy henyo between the "big three" universities). I was slightly entertained.
After that, I didn't really do anything except for walking around SC and buying drinks. I didn't really eat anything except for breakfast because my bowels don't really cooperate as of present, making me susceptible to farting randomly all over the place (though they're all silent; but I don't know if they stink). I try to hold them in as much as possible but sometimes I get too paranoid if someone notices the signs of struggle.
I also went to Llamas Science Hall to get the shirt I ordered during summer. I even found the location by myself, which is really elated me because I'm not really good at following maps or directions. I went to room 4328 and even saw this cute guy in a yellow shirt, and the two Ates who said that he was also there to claim his. He was smiling, although I don't know why. He was probably a freshman too, but I don't know because I didn't stay long enough to talk to them.
Okay, so right now I'm studying (juggling) different subjects and had my first cup of coffee. I will never get rid of this addiction. I don't think it's possible to avoid it because I find myself getting really drowsy in the middle of reading my textbooks and it's really frustrating. I know I don't get enough sleep but isn't that supposed to be normal in college? People always pull all-nighters anyway, I should be able to considering that I have a lot of motivation because I feel abnormally inferior to the rest of these people here. And it hasn't been officially a week since I started going to classes. I really need the extra effort. I also really liked the service at Destiny church last Sunday, because, well, it's kind of a release for me because I started crying again sporadically while trying to hide the fact that I was, beside my cousin and her friend. I think I actually kind of improved in terms of what to speak about during small talk. I know it's all baby steps so I guess by the time I go home for December break, (which isn't really clear to me yet; I can't imagine myself going through five months of tedious studying and labor and juggling having to fend for myself and doing semi-grown-up stuff. In fact, I'll really celebrate if I make it through this week without feeling hopeless by going to the free UPCAT film that I just signed up for earlier.
I really don't know what to feel yet. It's like I'm still holding my breath for something that's about to happen, and I don't know if it's going to be bad or good. But I know God is always helping me. He is bigger than all of my problems and I know He will help me memorise and understand school. I always find myself asking for His help and wisdom because I have absolutely no faith in my own capabilities. I hope I keep this up, even if somehow, I get high grades, I won't think I did it through my own hard work, but because God helped and motivated me. Besides, I didn't come here to waste time, I'm here to be the best I can possibly be, and within the foreseeable five months of my stay here, I hope the improvement is exponential instead of remaining stagnant. I really do hope so.
I really should write more, so probably even just five minute, everyday. I'll try.
